Meet Simon.

Q: What led you to this job role?

A: I wanted to do something more interesting than the usual writing job. Getting to hear people’s unique stories and having the chance to really flesh them out appealed to me, so I went for it.

Q: Tell us about your past working experiences: Previous job roles, qualifications, proudest achievements?

A: I have six years of experience under my belt as a written content specialist, working in the property, legal and luxury travel industries, amongst others.

I’m pretty proud of everything I write, so it’s hard to single out one thing that means the most. But overall, I’d say I’m most proud of being consistent and always finding a way to deliver on what’s needed and what’s wanted.

Q: What’s one thing you can’t live without?

A: If we’re talking literally, it would be oxygen.

Figuratively, there’s not much I couldn’t do without… But reading is great, so I’d be really miffed if I couldn’t read anymore.

Q: Name three of your favourite music artists

A:   – Red Hot Chilli Peppers

      – Daft Punk

      – Jamiroquai

But I’m being a rebel and giving five! Let’s add The Beatles and Dean Martin to that list.

Q: What’s a fun fact many people might not know about you?

A: I’ve appeared randomly in the background of TV news reports for BBC, ITV, Channel Four and Channel Five.

Q: Do you have a favourite quote you live by?

A:  Can’t say I do.

Q: What’s something you’ve always wanted to try but haven’t?

A: Breaking a world record. I don’t have a particular one in mind, but it’d be cool to say I’m a world record holder.

Q: Do you have any hidden talents?

A: I’m pretty good at making voices – at one point I wanted to do voiceovers for cartoons.

Q: Are you a morning person or a night owl?

A: I wake up early and I hate it.

My body clock wakes me up somewhere between 5:00 and 7:00 every day – even on weekends.

But I get a lot of stuff done when I wake up, so I’d say I’m a reluctant morning person.

Q: What’s your favourite seasonal event?

A: Christmas! Can’t beat it.

Q: What’s your guilty pleasure TV show or movie?

A: I don’t feel guilty for enjoying the things I watch. Desperate Housewives and Don’t Tell The Bride are two shows I never thought I’d really get into though, so that was a bit of a surprise to me.
